I should start by admitting that I don't eat raw sushi - just the cooked stuff. But this place was really yummy, and made their rolls very differently than other sushi spots in town. Plus the group I went with all ate the raw stuff and were raving about how good it is. I love the location on old Pearl Street, and the ambience and service is great. You are definitely going to pay for it though!
Yes I am a fan. went there during a recent trip to Denver and was pleasantly surprised! it was a friday evening so the place was packed! I liked that the waiter was ok to sub sushi rolls with sashimi; I also liked the roll without rice - forgot the name :-) great ambiance and crowd. it was fun!
I'm a sushi snob. Austin's Uchi is one of my favorite restaurants, and I've found that locating comparable...well that's not possible...but equally good sushi is difficult.
Sushi Den is a winner. It can get busy, but with good reason. Fantastic, fresh fish, good service, great options for your non-sushi eating friends, and an appealing atmosphere.
I love sushi den even though they are a bit expensive and crowded at times. The blackened cod is amazing. The sushi is also great but sometimes I feel they aren't consistent with the rice. Great for a date night because it has a good volume of conversation but no too loud.
Best Sushi in Denver hands down!!! This place ROCKS!!! They always have an awesome ambiance accompanied by outrageous flavorful sushi with a highly consequential Saki bomb. Love this place!
I have been coming here for years and finally getting to writing a review! It is just the best! Their fish is always fresh and always tasty. The service at times can be snobbish but I always get my food without much wait, the same can be said for drinks. The atmosphere is always great in here! Love it and hope it stays open for many years!
I joined Sushi Den for dinner last night around 7:30pm with two of my food friends. As an establishment that comes highly recommended I must say I was highly dissatisfied. I had the lamb and it was incredibly fatty with very little meat. I pointed this out to our waitress who only stopped by after dinner was finished to see how everything tasted. She did nothing to help the situation and only offered excuses. I don't write this email light hearted, as I work in the restaurant industry and have so for many years. I truly recognize some of the difficulties in telling the kitchen a guest did not like their food. At the very least the manager should have been brought in to the situation, or at least the offering of re-firing the dish, or an alternative menu item - there many tools not utilized.
Dining out has become more and more common as a nightly occurrence in our culture and I feel some establishments have taken this fact for granted. The Sushi Den has done this. I will not be joining the Sushi Den or sister restaurants in the future.

Denver's best in class sushi experience, with the price tag to match. Can be so crowded it's silly.
Some of the best sushi in town for sure. I wish it wasn't as hard to get a table or I would be here more for sure

Must try: Jalapeno Sashimi.
